DBU Partners with Shane & Shane

Dallas, TX – Shane Barnard and Shane Everett, more commonly known as “Shane & Shane,” recently partnered with Dallas Baptist University as “Worship Artists in Residence.” The popular Christian music duo has performed at DBU many times, including the Inauguration Concert for DBU President Dr. Adam C. Wright.

Most recently, Shane & Shane visited University Hill along with Phil Wickham as a part of their 2017 Christmas Tour, during which the DBU Family enjoyed an evening of worship and Christmas music in the Pilgrim Chapel.

This fall break, Shane & Shane went beyond the stage and into the classroom as a part of this unique role at DBU. They provided worship training to DBU students as a part of the Worship Praxis III: Worship Leading and Preparation course. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback in a small setting from the duo.

Shane & Shane began their career in 2001 after meeting while serving in Breakaway Ministries at Texas A&M University. Over the past 15 years, they have produced over 10 studio albums. Currently, they both live in Dallas and lead worship for the young adult ministry, The Porch, at Watermark Church.

This event was the first of many opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students at DBU to learn from Shane & Shane tangibly in the world of worship ministry.
