Current DBU student Ranjita Kumar grew up in an Indian orphanage. Her biological family practiced Hinduism, and she herself was a professing atheist. At the young age of seven, her biological mother placed her in a Christian orphanage.
Dallas Baptist University honored Raymond Harris as the recipient of the 2018 Russell H. Perry Free Enterprise Award during the annual award dinner that was held on Monday, November 19, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
The chapel was surrounded with the buzz and energy of students gathering for the Monday service, kicking off the well-anticipated Homecoming events. In between classes and late into the night, Greek Life members dotted the Quad and prepared their floats, despite the cold weather.
DBU is in the blood of freshman Ryan Wilson. His grandmother came to the school, as did both of his parents, and his older sister is a current student as well. There simply has not been a time in his life when DBU was not in the picture.
