Faculty Profile: Dr. Kathleen Watts

Dr. Kathleen Watts, an adjunct professor for the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program, has served at DBU since the fall of 2013 and has been a part of Christian education since 1981.

On campus, she has taught masters level classes and served as a treatise chair in the doctoral program. Additionally, Watts has taught in public schools in Kentucky and Oklahoma, serving in the roles of junior high principal, high school principal, school superintendent, and classroom teacher.

Her personal vision is to advance the wisdom of God through graduate education classes, to integrate a Christian worldview with the Word of God into curriculum and classroom strategies, and to equip teachers and administrators effectively.

“It is my prayer that our students at DBU become spiritual kings and servant leaders throughout the world, seeking to uncover hidden treasures in the Word of God to touch hearts and change the lives of their students,” Watts said.

Watts received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, along with a master’s and doctoral degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
