DBU Recognized as 2023-2024 “Gold” Award Status

Out of the over 1,800 schools that participated in the Military Friendly School Awards, DBU is one of only 250 to receive “Gold” Award Status. Through the examination of methodology, criteria, and weighting determined by Viqtory in tandem with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council, DBU received outstanding recognition for the 2023-2024 year. “This award speaks volumes to the commitment of DBU leadership, faculty, and staff in providing a supportive culture and Christ-centered education to those who defend our great nation,” says Sam Jones. Jones serves as DBU’s VA Certifying Official in our Military and Veteran Services department. Final ratings for Military Friendly institutions are determined by combining survey responses and government/ agency public data sources within a logic-based assessment, taking into account retention, graduation, job placement, repayment, persistence, and loan default for all students, with an emphasis placed on student Veterans.
