Dr. Mike Williams, Professor of History at DBU, recently announced that he is stepping down as editor of Texas Baptist History, the journal of the Texas Baptist Historical Society.
Dallas, TX – For the second consecutive year, Kingdom-minded entrepreneurs and Christian investors joined together on the DBU campus for The Lion’s Den DFW, an event structured similarly to the hit television series “Shark Tank.” Hosted by DBU’s Center for Business as Mission, which is led by Dr. Ross O’Brien, this year’s event featured 10 different entrepreneurs who each had the opportunity to pitch their vision, business model, and passion to a panel of expert judges.
Dallas, TX – Dallas Baptist University honored Paul and Charla Vinyard, owners of Babe’s Chicken Dinner House, Bubba’s Cooks Country, and Sweetie Pie’s Ribeyes, during the eleventh annual Tom Landry Leadership Award Dinner on Saturday, April 1, 2017, on the DBU campus. The annual event recognizes the lasting legacy of one of North Texas’ most famous citizens, Tom Landry, with more than 400 guests in attendance at this year’s dinner.
Dr. Bloom joined the DBU family in August of 2012 after more than 18 previous years in higher education. During his time at DBU thus far, Dr. Bloom has instructed students in a variety of courses in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the College of Education, as well as has served on the Educator Preparation Board since the fall of 2015.
