Slingshot(Previously Book Cards)
With Slingshot, course materials are automatically processed and billed to your student account. Any eligible financial aid will be applied by the Cashier’s office to cover your Slingshot charges - no action needed. If you have questions about available financial aid, please contact finaid@dbu.edu.
New students as of Fall 2024 and beyond are automatically opted in to Slingshot. Returning students can opt in to Slingshot by logging into their Slingshot account.
Slingshot FAQ
All students have a Slingshot account automatically set up for them. Simply visit your student portal and sign in with your DBU username and password. If you have any trouble signing in, you may contact customer support located at the bottom of the Student Portal page.
Students can charge required course materials to their student accounts by opting into Slingshot. DBU has partnered exclusively with Slingshot to operate the DBU Campus Store and automatically provide all required materials to students who are opted into their program. All new undergraduate freshmen and transfer students are automatically opted into Slingshot. Returning students can choose to opt in through their student portal.
Slingshot's free auto fulfillment service receives your course schedule and automatically places an order for all required materials beginning about two weeks prior to each course's start date. Your order is delivered to your residence hall before you arrive on campus or available for pickup at the bookstore. The cost of your materials are charged to your student account and returnable within a 7 day period of your first day of class.

Students who have opted out of Slingshot’s auto-fulfillment can still see prices and order their required materials directly from their student portal. Payment can be made using either a debit or credit card. You will receive an automated email notification once your order is available for pickup from the DBU Campus Store.
Students can view their course material transaction history through their Slingshot account at dbu.slingshotedu.com and by clicking on the Transaction History tab. Use the small arrows to the left of the screen to reveal itemized information including order status, shipping info, and pricing. Any questions about a transaction charge can be sent to Slingshot’s customer service team located at the bottom of the portal.
