DOXA

Literary Circle

The DOXA Literary Circle welcomes all students, faculty, and staff to discuss their own writing pieces that are in the works. Types of writing include poetry, creative nonfiction, fiction, scholarly writing, etc. Meetings are held bimonthly, and the students are encouraged to submit their work for publication in the DOXA Literary Arts magazine that is printed annually. They are also encouraged to participate in the annual DOXA Literary and Arts Festival, a competition that allows student writers to present their work to the student body and to a judging panel of professors.

Literary and Arts Magazine

The DOXA Literary and Arts Magazine is an annual publication by the Alpha Eta Xi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, in collaboration with the University Honors Program, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences English department, and the College of Fine Arts Art and Music department.

Content for the magazine is taken from submissions to DBU’s DOXA Literary Festival contest, which is organized by the Honors Program. The magazine publishes winning and worthy runner-up student entries in poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and song lyrics as well as art, photography, songs, and musical compositions.
