**National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)

Federal loan information at DBU is submitted to the National Student Data System (NSLDS) and is accessible by authorized agencies, lenders, and institutions. Student and parent borrowers that enter into an agreement regarding Federal loans, can access Federal loan information on the Federal Student Aid website.
**Entrance Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers

Undergraduate Students, Graduate/Professionals, and Parent PLUS Loan borrowers can get comprehensive information on the terms and conditions of their loans and of the borrower’s responsibilities at the link above. Borrowers can also learn more about Loan Entrance Counseling on the FSA Website.
**Exit Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers
Loan Exit Counseling Loan Exit Counseling is required when you graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment status. Get student loan entrance counseling information by clicking the link above or from the Federal Student Aid Exit Counseling webpage that includes terms and conditions of the loan and borrower’s responsibilities.
**Private Education Loan Disclosures (Including Self-Certification Form)

DBU does not maintain a preferred lender list and has no arrangement with private lenders. Visit our private loan comparison tool to assist you in your search for a private educational loan. Please ensure you look and use all federal loan options before pursuing a private education loan.

Borrowers will need to complete a Private Education Loan Applicant Self-Certification form for each private loan application. Borrowers will need to know the Cost of Attendance and Estimated Financial Assistance for the period of enrollment covered by the loan.

**Code of Conduct for Education Loans

Each school must prominently publish on the school’s website a code of conduct that prohibits a conflict of interest with the responsibilities of an agent of the school with respect to FFELP or private education loans. All agents with responsibility for loans must be informed annually of the provisions of the code. The code of conduct must prohibit:
- Revenue-sharing arrangements with any lender
- Receiving gifts from a lender, a guarantor, or a loan services
- Contracting arrangement providing financial benefit from any lender or affiliate of a lender
- Directing borrowers to particular lenders, or refusing or delaying loan certifications
- Offers of funds for private loans
- Call center or financial aid office staffing assistance
- Advisory board compensation
